DockTag. The small harbour, its boats and a ledger you can trust.

DockTag by Plasmiam is a solution for small marinas and the boats under 12 metres moored there: the harbour sees the pontoon map, boats, owners, stays, patrol rounds and the status of every boat with the kit; the owner sees the boat on the phone; rounds, alarms and interventions go into a ledger sealed with SHA-256 fingerprints.

Demo available In development

For: Small marinas (50 to 300 berths) and owners of boats under 12 metres

The problems DockTag solves.

The harbour on spreadsheets

Berths, boats, owners and stays on one map, with the boat-to-berth check (length, beam, draught, insurance policy) before every booking.

The boat nobody is watching

A bilge pump running more often week after week, shore power unplugged, an outboard leaving at night: the harbour and the owner see it at the same time.

The patrol round you can prove

The guard touches an NFC tag on each pontoon; a missed round stays visible in the ledger, next to alarms and interventions.

How it works

What is inside.

  • Harbour console (DockTag Marina): pontoon map with occupancy and security layers, registry, stays, alarms, patrol rounds.
  • On-board kit (in development): hub with bilge, battery, shore power and intrusion sensors, BLE tag on the outboard, optional camera. Protection rating, battery life and connectivity are design targets.
  • Owner app designed for the phone, in English, Italian and Spanish.
  • Every round, alarm and intervention is sealed with a SHA-256 fingerprint chained to the previous one, so a record changed afterwards can be recognised.

Questions

Frequently asked questions.

Who is it for, the harbour or the owner?

Both: the harbour has the console and the view of every boat with the kit, the owner has the app for their own boat.

Are the camera images real?

Not in the demo: frames are synthetic illustrations and person detection is simulated.

Is the demo on real data?

No. It runs on a fictitious marina with about 150 berths on four pontoons, 40 boats with the kit and more than a season of data, with a storm, a slow leak, unplugged shore power, a possible outboard theft, a missed round and a silent hub built in.
