Teneuro

Teneuro. The missing data, on every machine.

The acquisition hub that connects your plant to Sibilla: it reads controllers and fieldbuses, gives a voice to silent machines and listens to vibration and sound.

Designed, built and patented by Plasmiam for Sibilla predictive maintenance. Affordable enough to cover the whole fleet.

Your plant already has plenty of data. What's missing is the data that anticipates failures.

The SCADA logs every ten minutes, the PLC knows states and alarms, the CNC knows how loaded the spindle is. That data is valuable, and Sibilla reads it. But two things are left out:

Silent machines

Pumps, fans, small compressors, auxiliaries with no drive and no bus: often the most numerous machines in a plant.

High-frequency vibration and sound

That is where a bearing, a gear or a cavitating impeller makes itself heard weeks before it stops. No PLC or CNC provides it.

Teneuro exists to fill exactly these two gaps, and only those.

Hub, acquisition, listening.

Connection hub

Collects data from systems that already communicate (genset controllers, drives, compressors, inverters, engine ECUs) and brings it to Sibilla over a single channel, thanks to its integrated router.

Acquisition

Analogue and digital inputs for the transducers that are missing: pressures, temperatures, currents, status contacts. It gives a voice to machines with no bus.

Vibration and sound

Accelerometers and microphones for mechanical failures: bearings, gears, cavitation, looseness. This is Teneuro's speciality.

What Teneuro connects, and how fast.

Levels stated without shortcuts: “1-day activation” means configuration and signal mapping, with the customer's access and licences already in place. Teneuro → Sibilla over MQTT is native, so each level below is end to end.

Where an AVEVA PI historian or an active OPC UA server already exists, Sibilla connects directly (native connector): you don't need Teneuro. Product and protocol names are trademarks of their respective owners and indicate technical compatibility only.

Your CNC tells you how hard the spindle works. Not how its bearings are doing.

A defect on a bearing race produces weak, repeated impulses at precise frequencies. In the raw signal they get lost; with envelope analysis they emerge weeks before the temperature rises, which comes last. The same holds for the gears of a gearbox, a cavitating impeller, the valves of an engine.

Teneuro acquires these waveforms; Sibilla turns them into diagnostic indicators (KDIs) linked to the right component and failure mode, following the reference standards (ISO 20816-3 for rotating machines, ISO/TR 17243-1 for spindles).

Vibration is our strong point, but it does not work alone: Sibilla crosses it with load, speed and temperatures, which often come from the control system already in place.

From sensor to Sibilla, with no PC in between.

Teneuro collects and prepares the signals and, through its integrated router, sends them over MQTT. The broker can sit in your plant or in the cloud: your data stays where you decide. In Sibilla each signal is attached to the plant ontology, that is, to the asset, the component and the failure mode it describes.

Native Teneuro → Sibilla over MQTT

Built for the fleet, not just the critical machine.

Traditional condition monitoring costs enough to end up only on the three most important machines. The rest of the plant is maintained by the calendar, or repaired when it breaks.

Teneuro was designed with a different goal: a cost per measurement point low enough to put it on every machine that matters, including the pumps, fans and auxiliaries that on their own would not justify a dedicated system. With many similar machines monitored, Sibilla can compare them and apply the same Blueprint to the whole fleet: the machine that behaves differently from its twins shows up earlier.

The price depends on the configuration: we give it to you in a quote, after seeing your assets.

Asset by asset: what Teneuro listens to.

For each asset type, where Teneuro adds information, where it is partial, and where the data you already have is enough.

AssetWhere Teneuro helpsWhere it is partial or not needed
Diesel and gas engines, gensetsReads the genset controller (Modbus) and the ECU (J1939); vibration and acoustics synchronised to crank angle for injectors and valves; turbocharger whine and high frequencies; cooling water pumpMain and big-end bearings: only at an advanced stage. Heat exchanger fouling is thermal: temperatures are enough. Oil mist detectors are protection, not prediction. Torsional dampers need a dedicated measurement
Wind turbinesGearbox (bearings, gears) and generator where there is no CMS or to complement an old one; low-frequency tower vibration; acousticsPitch: SCADA data and alarms are enough. Main bearing: weak signal at low speed, handle with care. Oil analysis: only through a dedicated sensor
Hydro power plantsRunner cavitation and erosion (acoustics is the strong point); absolute vibration of bearing housings; auxiliary pumps and motorsStator insulation (partial discharge) and air gap need dedicated sensors; Sibilla can integrate their trends. Relative shaft vibration usually comes from the protection system
Solar PV plantsString currents where the inverter does not provide them; inverter fans (noise and vibration); tracker motorsSoiling is an economic choice about cleaning, not a failure. DC side: switchboard temperatures only
Electric motors and drivesBearings, imbalance, misalignment, inverter-induced shaft currentsPartial discharge: no
Centrifugal pumpsCavitation (microphone + accelerometer: the ideal use case), bearings, operation away from the best efficiency pointMechanical seal: partial. Performance: from process data
CompressorsSmall screw and reciprocating compressors with no bus: Teneuro + Sibilla is the only predictive route. Rotor bearings, valves, transmissionOil circuit, filters, cooling: partial, the controller is often enough
Fans and blowersImbalance from fouling, bearings, belts, looseness, gears of lobe blowers—
Machining centresMotor spindle bearings (accelerometer on the housing, ISO/TR 17243-1); acoustic signature of the tool change; hydraulic and coolant pressuresTool wear is a process topic: we don't promise it. Axis currents and alarms already come from the CNC

Wind, solar and hydro: Blueprints available in Sibilla. The other asset types: Blueprint built on your data, as a project.

When you don't need Teneuro, we'll tell you.

  • Partial discharge (insulation of stators, cables, transformers): dedicated sensors and instruments are needed. If you have them, Sibilla can read their trends.
  • Generator air gap: requires dedicated capacitive sensors.
  • Where a vibration monitoring system (CMS) already exists, or a historian that collects its data: we read that, we don't duplicate sensors.
  • Where the control system already says enough: the pitch of a turbine, the axis currents of a CNC, the heat balance of an exchanger.
  • Sudden electronic failures with no measurable precursors: no sensor anticipates them reliably.
  • Protection and safety functions (high-vibration trip, oil mist): they stay with the systems certified for that. Teneuro is for predicting, not protecting.

Fewer sensors where they are not needed, more budget where they make a difference.

For machine builders

Where Teneuro comes from.

Years inside a major international utility

Before Plasmiam, our team designed and ran predictive maintenance for a major international utility: more than 1,000 power plants in 22 countries and over 40 GW of installed capacity, starting from hydro. That experience shaped Teneuro, designed, built and patented by Plasmiam to bring vibration monitoring to large fleets of small plants at a low cost per point.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need Teneuro to use Sibilla?

No. Sibilla connects natively to AVEVA PI, OPC UA, MQTT, SQL, CSV and the major clouds. Teneuro is for where data is missing.

I already have a vibration monitoring system. Does Teneuro replace it?

No: if its data is accessible, Sibilla reads it. Teneuro is added only where that system does not reach.

How much does it cost?

It depends on how many measurement points and which sensors are needed. The cost per point is designed to cover the whole fleet: we quantify it in a quote after seeing your assets.
